FARMINGTON, N.M. (AP) - The Village People will give a free concert to benefit victims of recent wildfires in New Mexico and Colorado.
The Farmington Daily-Times reports the music group, known for songs such as "YMCA" and "In the Navy," will perform Saturday night at the Sky Ute Casino Resort in Ignacio, Colo.
Alexander Briley, known as G.I. in the group, says the band wants to give their time to those left in need.
The resort says 1,100 tickets will be available starting at 4 p.m. Saturday with a limit of four per person.
Those attending are asked to give a cash donation.
American Red Cross volunteers will also be at the show collecting money.
Firefighters are working in both states to contain blazes that have destroyed more than 400 homes.
