We have new details involving the man found dead near a missing Four Corners man's car.
We’ve learned that Irvin Rangel's roommate, 29-year-old Michael DeCoteau, was wanted in Washington State for a probation violation.
According to state corrections officials, DeCoteau has a lengthy criminal history and was in and out of prison since 2001.
The San Juan County sheriff's department says DeCoteau died of multiple gunshot wounds.
His body was found last week south of Farmington near Rangel's abandoned car.
Detectives tell us they don't think Rangel played a role in DeCoteau's death.
Rangel has been missing for two weeks.
His family is offering a $30,000 reward for information to help find him.
